MISSION STATEMENT

Equip graduates with the skills to succeed in user experience roles and lead projects through learned, tactical design thinking.

How it started

Why did I start THUNKacademy?

It all started when I was hiring UX designers and could not find quality talent after interviewing hundreds of candidates.

The candidates couldn’t prove to me they could solve problems using design thinking. I was also mentoring at the time and felt I was doing a much better job with my mentees with only a few hours a week. That’s when the spark went off and I felt I could create a course 10 times better than anything else out there.

My passion comes from my desire to teach what I know. I want to teach you the skills companies need and feel my program will make you succeed in UX.

I am here to help you build your current UX career by teaching soft skills and hard skills needed to “plug-and-play” in most companies. I created this program through real world scenarios at agencies, clients, and companies.

I know there are a lot of options out there for online courses and encourage you to take as many free lessons here until you feel this is the right course for you. At the end of this course you will have the confidence, experience, and attitude any user-focused company will desire.

“I promise to make sure you have the skills to tackle UX projects in the real world. If you want to work full-time, part-time, or venture out on your freelance career.”
